I'm back at the Irish research and I'm looking for more information on the Reardon / Riordan / O'Riordan family from Macroom, Co. Cork in Ireland.
My 4th Great Grandparents were John Reardon and Mary Shea. They were married on March 3, 1835, in Macroom, Co.Cork, Ireland. Witnesses to their marriage were Denis Denahy and John Downy (spelling may be off on these). Together they had 6 children that I have found.
Daniel Reardon - b. May 21, 1836, in Clondrohid, Co. Cork, Ireland
Denis Reardon - b. April 1838 in Macroom, Co. Cork, Ireland
Margaret Reardon - b. April 25, 1840, in Macroom, Co. Cork, Ireland
Mary Reardon - b. March 29, 1842, in Macroom, Co. Cork, Ireland
Catherine Reardon - b. December 8, 1843, in Macroom, Co. Cork, Ireland
John Reardon - b. October 17, 1849, in Macroom, Co. Cork, Ireland
Denis Reardon, their son, is my 3rd Great Grandfather. His residence at the time of Baptism is
Masseytown, Macroom, Co. Cork. Sponsors to his baptism were Edmond Walsh and Anne Reardon. He married Mary Cook on January 4, 1862, in Camberwell, Surrey, London, England at the Lady of Dolours, at Peckham, Catholic Church. Together they had 8 children.

Ellen Reardon b. about 1875 in Toronto (York), Ontario, Canada

Mary Reardon b. 1880 in Toronto (York), Ontario, Canada
Katherine Reardon b. 1884 in Toronto (York), Ontario, Canada
They also adopted a girl named Mary Murray, she was born in England about 1874 and she lived with them in Canada. I'm not sure how she came to be with the family, but she shows up in the Canadian Census records living with the Reardon family.
Denis died at 55 years of age on November 8, 1892, in Toronto (York), Ontario, Canada and was buried at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Toronto. His wife Mary died on June 9, 1921, in Toronto (York), Ontario, Canada.
Katherine Reardon, their daughter, is my Great Great Grandmother. She married Wesley Allan Liscombe in Toronto (York), Ontario, Canada on July 10, 1902. Together they had 5 children.
I have found a few different variations of the spelling of Reardon during my research. Mostly Riordan back in Ireland but I also did see one or two O'Riordan.
If you have a connection to this Riordan family that was from Macroom, Co. Cork, Ireland I would love to hear from you, we could share information. I'm going to start researching this family again in the coming months, I'm hoping there will be more information online.
